CASE STUDY: "Fa' la Cosa Giusta”

During the three days of free admission, the fair recorded 65,000 visitors, who were counted by the Visionarea People counting system.

"Fa' la cosa giusta!” (“Do the right thing!”) is the national fair on critical consumption and sustainable lifestyles, organised by Terre di Mezzo Eventi, which celebrated its 16th year in 2019.

Visitor traffic at the 2019 fair was highly concentrated - up to 20,000 visitors per day. The organisers’ aim was to accurately measure the flow of visitors using the exits in order to have reliable and timely feedback on the actual attendance at the fair’s halls, which hosted over 700 exhibitors.

The customer's requirements:

  • Ease of installation and quick turnaround time
  • Accurate detection even in crowded areas

Visionarea Solution

We have set up 2 3D binocular sensors to guard 2 gates. The ease of installation and activation of the sensors allowed the fair’s organisation to install counters the afternoon directly before the event with our remote support.

"With Visionarea we have had a service that is easy to implement, precise and effective, even with a large number of people".

Elisa Pedretti - from the Fa' la cosa giusta Organisation
